Mr. T. Viresh Fernando obtained his first degree in Economics from the University of Rochester, in New York.
He then trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Fernando had his own very successful C.A. practice in Toronto for five years prior to divesting it in order to attend law school.
Mr. Fernando attended one of two of Canada's premier bilingual law schools, McGill University in Montreal, where he specialized in public law.  At the conclusion of his studies, he joined the Department of Justice and The Attorney General of Canada as an articling student.  Upon the completion of his articles, he was invited to take a position as counsel for The Attorney General of Canada.

As Counsel of The Attorney General of Canada, Mr. Fernando specialized in representing the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration in various types of actions brought against the Minister.  His work included a high potential immigrants whose applications for permanent residence in Canada has been refused.
